Babysitting Course and CPR
Kanon Health is pleased to announce the addition of the American Heart Association’s Childcare and Babysitting Certification Course. This course is great for those interested in babysitting young children. This is an excellent course for new parents as well. How to lead children, about the business of babysitting, the legal requirements of providing childcare, how to manage children, how children play and their behaviors, the hazards to children, and how to respond to emergencies.
This course also covers basic life support including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for infants, toddlers, and adults and the use of automatic electronic defibrillators (AED). In addition to this, the student will receive training and certification in the American College of Surgeon’s Stop the Bleed course.
Course completion
After successfully passing each module, the attendee will receive their babysitting course certification card, American Heart Association’s Heartsaver CPR AED certification care, and the American College of Surgeon’s Stop the Bleed certification card.

Daddy Boot Camp
Kanon Health is pleased to bring back our special Daddy Boot Camp! The success of this course in 2026 mandates that we continue this training. The course is meant for soon to be and current fathers of infants. As a father, we’ve learned there’s no instruction manual given by hospitals on baby discharge. But through experience we know there are things we can expect. This course highlights some of the more common things fathers can expect.
We’ll discuss preparing for birth and the first days after, dealing with crying, getting enough sleep, bathing, feeding, and diapering, bonding with your baby, supporting a new mom, handling visitors, emergencies, and family finances, playtime, umbilical cord care, rashes and coughs, and bottle vs. breastfeeding. The program emphasizes practical skills, emotional readiness, and community support.
In addition, we’ll also obtain certification in Basic Life Support (CPR) for infants and toddlers. This includes choking hazards.
This course is a laid-back, non-power point discussion on being a father. There is no timeframe. But most courses lasted between 2 and 3 hours.
Course dates are Nov. 28 and Dec. 27, 2026. Course starts at 1:00 p.m. Classes are limited to ensure good discussions and rapport.
