Global Health Foundation

 

The mission of our Global Health Foundation is to support global health via medical clinics, education and clean water. This Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees representing multiple professions.

Kanon Health Global Health Foundation has contacts and expectations for:

  • Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, Belize City, Belize
  • Medical Clinics in Mbour and Dakar, Senegal, Africa
  • Medical Clinics of Santa Lucia and Tegucigalpa, Honduras
  • Medical Clinics of Guatemala City, Guatemala

We are seeking candidates to join our foundation in the following capacities:

Medical Team
The Global Health Foundation medical team consists of a registered nurse (RN) team lead, co-team lead if needed,
nurses (RN and LVNs), non-medical professions providing administrative support, physicians (MD/DO) and advanced
practice registered nurses (APRNs).

Our medical mission trips are open for everyone to volunteer and participate. The minimum medical team must be
at least two physicians or APRNs, as well as four nurses. At least one nurse will be the medical mission team lead. The
rest of the medical team may compose non-medical personnel.

Committees
Committees may virtually meet monthly for 1-2 hours depending on needs. Current committees formed for Kanon
Health’s Global Health Foundation include:

  • Mission trip team leader collaborative
  • Mission trip education
  • Fundraising
  • Communications and Public Relations
  • Trustee education (educate team leads and mission members)
  • Medical Team Administrator (manages applications, travel, immunizations, etc)
  • Policies and Procedures
